Trip Details
Childcare & Teaching Volunteer Thailand
Want to know what it’s like to teach in Thailand? This Child Care and Teaching programme located in Hua Hin will give you that! During this project, you will prepare teaching lessons for children, helping them with their daily activities and chores and putting them down for a nap. Mornings will involve working with little ones aged 2.5 – 6, and the afternoons, with children from 6-12 years old. And, at the end of your busy day, you will then have plenty of time to relax in the evening and have fun with your volunteering buddies.
Work with Thai Children, eager to learn all about you!
Working alongside some great staff, you will prepare lessons based on their English subject’s curriculum, weaving your creative flair into the lesson delivery for an engaging session! Teachers are always open to new strategies or techniques, so you will have a lot of freedom to plan your lessons on this teaching programme – even bringing your own resources from home if you like! Be aware that this more than an English teaching programme; we are looking for volunteers who understand how important it is to build a child’s confidence for a brighter future. Therefore, we are looking for patient, motivational and creative types to fill these positions!
Discover Hua Hin’s Bustling Markets and Vibrant Nightlife!
Hua Hin itself is a popular tourist destination and beach resort town, so you’ll find plenty of places to eat, socialise and relax! In addition, the town has many activities on offer, from snorkelling to kite-surfing, kayaking and trekking! However, through the week, it’s likely that you’ll also want time to relax after a busy day. That’s why we’ve made our accommodation super comfy with a communal pool, hammocks to doze in and communal areas in which to socialise with friends. Don’t forget too that greater adventures can be planned for the weekends – travel further afield and find a plethora of temples, cities and mountains all waiting for your visit!

Places to Visit
Hua Hin is a lively fisherman-town and popular tourist destination, and it has a lot to offer besides just sunbathing, snorkelling and swimming at its golden beaches. Not only are there plenty of seafood restaurants and other eateries to choose from, but visitors can also enjoy golf, spas, shops, markets (including a popular night market), and Hua Hin’s Vana Nava water park. We recommend you also visit Khao Tekiab, a mountain at the end of the beach with a temple atop that overlooks the sea.
In addition, Hua Hin is surrounded by beautiful national parks and you might decide to go slightly further afield to explore the likes of the Pa La-U Waterfall, located 60 km west of Hua Hin on the south side of the Kaeng Krachan National Park. Alternatively, 45 km to the south of Hua Hin is the mystical Phraya Nakhon cave for the more adventurous!

From trekking in the beautiful mountains of the north to enjoying the glorious beaches in the south and experiencing the hustle and bustle of the metropolis that is Bangkok, Thailand is certainly not a country that lacks variety.
Whilst it really is at the heart of Southeast Asia, bordered by Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia, its cultural identity remains very unique. As the only country in Southeast Asia to avoid European powers, the Thai are proud to refer to themselves as ‘The Land of the Free’ and many tourists might also know it as ‘The Land of Smiles’ due to its friendly people.
