Women Empowerment Project Volunteer in Kathmandu Nepal
Are you all about empowerment? Would you like to share your passion with other women? Many women travel to Kathmandu from rural areas to find work as housemaids, and without a basic education can struggle to earn a living. This Women Empowerment Project Volunteer placement in Kathmandu offers an amazing opportunity to change those lives for the better. So if this sounds like you, read on!
Help Local Women get a Better Chance at a Bright Future!
You will teach and educate adult women with different learning capacities and backgrounds. However, you won’t be doing this on your own! In fact, you will have plenty of support from project staff who will keep you on the right track. Further, you will have written resources to work from. As well as teaching conversational English, you’ll also teach key topics such as personal development, environmental awareness and general health and safety. Ultimately, the aim of this programme is to provide these women with an educational foundation to help them become more independent and informed.
Explore Kathmandu’s Vibrant Culture and Friendly Community!
In addition to its unique culture, Kathmandu offers stunning scenery, wildlife and busy streets to explore! For example, shoppers will find no end of markets with Indian artefacts, clothes and trinkets to take back home! In fact, we suggest you bring an empty suitcase! Further, if you love to dine out, you’ll find loads of great eateries, including Italian, Indian, Chinese – and of course, local cuisine too. Lastly, whilst you’ll probably plan weekend adventures further afield, Kathmandu itself will keep you busy during your stay as a Women Empowerment Project Volunteer!
