Sports Coaching Volunteer in Rwanda
Trip Details
Sports Coaching Volunteer in Rwanda
Football is one of the most popular sports in the world which unites people of all kinds making them friends regardless of their social, cultural and geographic backgrounds and this project with TRU Experience Travel uses football to help improve the lives of underprivileged children in local communities across the world. This volunteer project in Rwanda is no different! You will work alongside the local team in Muhanga, supporting the local children in developing their talents, encouraging them for a brighter future from their young age.
Improve the lives of underprivileged children through your love for football!
This project will see you working with the local community developing children through sport, predominantly football. Many children in these communities come from various difficult backgrounds due to poverty and face issues such as loneliness, due to lack of interest they drop out of school, pick up bad habits and lose self-confidence and hope leading them to beg on the streets. This project has been created to prevent this by bringing children together and developing their minds for a brighter future by using sport as a tool, which is where you come in! Help coach these children and help them achieve their full potential whilst gaining invaluable coaching experience yourself!
Discover a resilient and vibrant culture like no other!
You will get the opportunity in your free time to explore what Rwanda has to offer. Despite its brutal and quite recent history, Rwanda has lifted itself up from the ground and has undergone an almost miraculous transformation. Discover how different cultures in Rwanda are bound by music and dance, an integral part of the country’s heritage. Uncover vibrant festivals, gatherings and ceremonies in Rwanda and learn about Rwanda’s traditional dance known as the “dance of the heroes”.
