Rescue Animal Care Volunteer in Seoul
Trip Details
Rescue Animal Care Volunteer in Seoul, South Korea
If you’re an animal lover that wants to help animals in need then this TRU Experience Travel volunteer project is the one for you. You will participate in the upkeep of the animal rehabilitation and rescue centre in Seoul, where rescued animals such as dogs and pigs are cleaned, fed and cared for.
Help take care of rescue dogs that were once bred for slaughter
This protection farm was once an illegal dog farm which bred dogs to take them to the slaughterhouse and sell them as a piece of meat. Thankfully activists and a non-profit organisation won the fight against the fight and were able to take control of it, turning it into a shelter. It is now home to around 100 dogs, awaiting adoption, that are in need of love and attention from animals like you! You will help the local team take care of the animals assisting in the process of rehabilitation, recovery and release, getting them ready to be loved in their forever homes.
Explore and discover South Korea in your free time!
You will get your weekends to yourself during this volunteer project so you will have plenty of time to experience the fast-paced, modern city of Seoul firsthand. Take time to discover South Korea and its culture, beyond K-pop and K-movies, get a taste of Korean food, take a walk in the royal palace and chill out at the pubs in the coolest town in Seoul. The city is a tapestry of old-world charm and futuristic innovation, where a deep reverence for traditional customers and culture coexists with a forward-looking enthusiasm for technological progress.
