Food Shop Volunteer in Lisbon, Portugal
Join TRU Experience Travel as we fight against food waste in Lisbon. Food waste is a real problem on a global scale and the number of people in need has been increasing in the last few years. This project aims to help stop that as we feed those in need. So get ready to get stuck in and help those in need!
Fight against food waste and help feed those in need
In the past four years homelessness in Portugal has increased by 78% due to a real-estate crisis and the increase of drug addictions. This project will see you helping these people in need as the same time as fighting against food waste. You’ll collect good food that would be going to waste at restaurants and deliver meals to people in need. Your tasks may include some food preparation, serving families and individuals and helping clean up. Your time in Lisbon will be a rewarding one as you help feed those in need and make sure food doesn’t go to waste.
