Places to Visit
Hua Hin is a lively fisherman-town and popular tourist destination, and it has a lot to offer besides just sunbathing, snorkelling and swimming at its golden beaches. Not only are there plenty of seafood restaurants and other eateries to choose from, but visitors can also enjoy golf, spas, shops, markets (including a popular night market), and Hua Hin’s Vana Nava water park. We recommend you also visit Khao Tekiab, a mountain at the end of the beach with a temple atop that overlooks the sea.
In addition, Hua Hin is surrounded by beautiful national parks and you might decide to go slightly further afield to explore the likes of the Pa La-U Waterfall, located 60 km west of Hua Hin on the south side of the Kaeng Krachan National Park. Alternatively, 45 km to the south of Hua Hin is the mystical Phraya Nakhon cave for the more adventurous!
Trip Accommodation
Hua Hin is one of Thailand’s most popular beach destinations and is located only 280km southwest of Bangkok. Hua Hin is where the city meets the sea, and offers scrumptious seafood, lively markets, never-sleeping bars, long beaches and palm tree-decorated landscapes to enjoy during your stay!
About the Accommodation
During your stay in Hua Hin, you’ll be accommodated at either Sunshine House (shared dormitories) or Paradee House (private rooms), both located in a quiet neighborhood with access to local shops and transport. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and hot showers. Shared dorms house 4 to 12 participants, while private rooms are for 1 to 2 people and include a private bathroom. Each guest is provided with a personal locker and room key (note: a 300 THB refundable deposit is required). Towels are not provided, so we recommend bringing your own. Wi-Fi is available in public areas of both accommodations, and both offer access to a swimming pool and shared garden space. Private rooms are limited and subject to availability—while we do our best, we cannot guarantee placement in a private room.
Food Arrangements
Thai cuisine is really something to get excited about! Typical dishes include plenty of rice or noodle dishes with vegetables and occasionally some meat, along with seasonal fruits for dessert. Vegetarians can be catered for, just let us know! However, if you are a picky eater or have dietary restrictions, you might want to consider supplementing our menu with your own western type foods and snacks that are more to your liking.
