Construction and Renovation  Entebbe, Uganda

In Entebbe, Uganda there is a great need for Construction and Renovation Volunteers. Many of the rural communities outside of major cities in Uganda lack government support for infrastructure development and maintenance. Most families only have enough food to feed themselves from what they grow and house repairs are uncommon because the priority is to work the farms so that their children can eat. However, on this programme, you can help to change that!  During this project you will be assisting with simple construction and renovation in schools, healthcare centres, village halls and churches. Whilst it will be hard work at times, it will be rewarding giving back to the community and contributing to improving the well-being of local children.

Put your DIY skills to the test and help give back to the community

In Entebbe, you will really be giving back to the community by helping with tasks based on their current needs. This could include; constructing sinks and water tanks, repairing chairs, planting flower beds, painting or repairing walls and much more! Additionally, you may be able to help with a feeding/nutrition project aimed at improving the health and well-being of local schoolchildren.

Immerse yourself in amazing culture by staying in a Ugandan community!

Ugandan people are incredibly warm and friendly, and you’ll discover this as soon as you set foot in Entebbe! Whilst you’re here, we’ll give you some basic language skills so that you can greet locals, buy your fresh fruit from the market and find your way around. If you’re travelling alone here, don’t worry. Aside from the many people you’ll meet on the project, you will be able to plan adventures with other volunteers, as you hang out together back at our comfortable accommodation.
