Construction and Renovation Volunteer in Goa India
Trip Details
If you’re looking for a chance to get your hands dirty volunteering to help underprivileged communities with construction projects in Goa, India, look no further! Aiming to improve the quality of life for under-privileged citizens in and around Goa, the construction work improves the living conditions of the poverty-stricken people within the area.
On this construction volunteer project, the main focus is carrying out work at the slums and the migratory children’s schools which are allocated to the poor members of the community. However, there is a possibility that you will work at other locations where you could provide assistance with development construction. Through this work you will gain invaluable experience of the construction industry and cultural knowledge of the Indian people.
Despite ongoing efforts in construction at the school, there is plenty left to complete from the renovation of pathways, toilets and walls to decorating the walls. For this part of the work, participants with artistic skills will be encouraged to decorate the walls with images and sketches from their own countries and cultures in reflection of the long standing working relationship developed by participants as they have worked there over the past years.
Other construction projects you may be involved in could include the renovation and building of houses and sanitation facilities at the local village or local hospitals. Your assignment to these projects is completely dependent on the needs of any particular time and the skills you could offer!
